Requirements
- WordPress 6.2 or newer
- PHP 7.2 or newer
- Any theme: classic themes (Hello Elementor, Astra, GeneratePress…) and block themes (Twenty Twenty-Five…) are both supported
Install the free plugin
- In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for JMarzTech Content Layouts, or click Upload Plugin and choose the zip.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- A new JMLayouts menu appears in the admin sidebar with four screens: Library, Fields, Displays and Settings.
Good to know: Library is available to anyone who can edit posts. Fields, Displays and Settings need an administrator.
Install JMLayouts Pro
Pro is a separate plugin that runs alongside the free one — keep both active.
- Download the Pro zip from your purchase email or your account at jmarztech.com/.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
- Enter your licence key when asked. Pro switches on as soon as the licence is active.
Pro: Pro needs the free plugin at version 1.0.4 or newer. If it is older, a notice on the Plugins screen says so; update the free plugin and Pro turns on by itself.
Updating
The free plugin updates from WordPress.org like any other. Pro updates arrive through the same Plugins screen while your licence is active. To install a zip by hand, upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and choose Replace current with uploaded — your displays, fields and settings are kept.
Uninstalling
Deactivating or deleting the plugin leaves your displays, fields and settings in the database, so nothing is lost if you reinstall. To remove them completely, tick Delete displays, fields and their stored values when this plugin is deleted under JMLayouts → Settings before deleting it. Your posts and pages themselves are never touched either way.
