Choose Style: Slider in the Layout section. A slider shows the number of items in How many and ignores pagination and visitor controls.

Slider settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Arrows | Previous and next buttons on each side. |
| Dots | One dot per position underneath; click to jump. |
| Loop back to the start | After the last slide, Next goes back to the first. Off: the arrows hide at each end. |
Visitors can also swipe on touch screens, scroll sideways with a trackpad, or focus the slider and use the arrow keys.
Pro: carousels and effects

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Effect | Slide, Fade (slides cross-fade in place) or Coverflow (the current slide centred, its neighbours smaller and turned away). |
| Cards at once | 1 to 6 cards visible together — a carousel. Set separately for tablets and phones (by default 2 and 1). |
| Peek at the next card | Shows part of the next card so visitors can see there is more. |
| Autoplay / Every | Moves on by itself every 3–10 seconds. A pause button is added automatically. |
| Pause while the pointer is over it | Autoplay also pauses while a visitor is reading or using the keyboard, and in background tabs. |
| Thumbnail strip | Small images under the slider; click one to jump to it. |
Accessibility
Sliders are announced as carousels with “slide 3 of 6”, arrows and dots are real buttons with labels, links in slides you cannot see are kept out of the keyboard tab order, and smooth motion and autoplay are switched off for visitors who ask their device for reduced motion.
